Indian Railways has come up with a plan to run special festival trains from September 13, in order to handle passenger rush during the festive season this year. 

To cater the demands, Indian Railways will operate Durg-Ajmer-Durg and Durg-Jammu Tawi weekly superfast special trains as the festive season approaches.

The national transporter has taken this decision anticipating a passenger rush during the upcoming festive season. 

Apart from this, there was increasing demand from the passengers to increase the number of trains for a long time.

Schedule For Special Trains

Train number 08217 Durg-Ajmer weekly special train will run once a week on every Monday and it will start  from September 13. 

Train number 08218 Ajmer-Durg is scheduled to run on every Tuesday (once a week) and will run from September 14 until further notice. 

To Summarize this, the train will leave Durg at 16.00 hrs. every Monday. 

It will reach Raipur, Tilda Nevra, Bhatapara, Usalapur, Pendra Road, Anuppur, and the second day via Katni Mudwara will reach its final destination, Ajmer at 6.45 pm.

While, Train No. 08218 — Ajmer-Durg Weekly Express Special will departure for Ajmer at 19.25 hrs every Tuesday. 

It will take halts at Pendra Road, Uslapur, Bhatapara, Tilda Nevra, Raipur, and Durg at 22.10 hrs. 

This special train will have a total of 20 coaches, including 02-SLRD, 02-General, 11-Sleeper, 03-AC-III- 02 AC II.

Durg-Jammu Tawi Weekly Superfast Special Train Schedule

The Durg-Jammu Tawi Weekly Superfast Special train number 08549 will start from September 14 every Tuesday. 

Similarly, train number 08550 Jammu Tawi–Durg will run every Thursday once a week and will be starting from September 16.

Durg-Jammu Tawi will depart from Durg at 12:15 and via Raipur, Bhatapara, Bilaspur will arrive at Jammu Tawi the next day. 

While, Jammu Tawi – Durg and will reach Durg at 06.00 hrs. via Pendra Road, Bilaspur, Bhatapara and Raipur.
