Indian Railways Working Towards Bettering Its Operations!

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant lockdowns, passenger railway revenues have taken a massive hit.

The passenger revenue has dipped by around Rs 30,000 crore as of now, as compared to the same time last year, according to data.

This calls for streamlining the operations in the passenger segment as well as an innovative approach to increase the earnings.

The preparatory measures for a single Indian Railways Management Service (IRMS), an amalgamation of 8 rail services, is already underway.

The Indian Railways is working on the betterment of management which will be beneficial to the national transporter.
