Vivo Apex has always been about new-age smartphones.

The Apex 2018 came with the first in-display fingerprint scanner and pop-up camera, while Apex 2019 was the first 5G concept phone with no buttons or ports.

Vivo has always been much innovative about it’s concept phones, and Apex 2020 won’t be any different. The company has some unique 48MP gimbal camera to be unveiled with Vivo Apex 2020.

Starting with the primary USP, Vivo Apex 2020 will come with a 48MP “gimbal” camera. Gimbals can offer some top notch stabilisation on a normal smartphone camera. The device will offer a setting like gimbal to stabilize the camera.

We are yet to know whether it’s some upgraded form of optical image stabilization (OIS) or the device will come with some version of a gimbal. Vivo Apex 2020 aims to offer some superior stabilization for professional video recording on a smartphone.

While smartphone cameras have improved dramatically in the last few years offering top-notch video performance, stabilisation has been an issue. 

Vivo Apex 2020 will also come with 5 to 7.5x optical zoom capabilities inside a rectangular camera module, expected to have a periscope camera. It will be a 5G phone, so the device is expected to be powered by the top Qualcomm flagship SoC, Snapdragon 865.

Vivo Z6 5G: What You Need To Know

Vivo is all set to unveil a brand new Z-series Vivo smartphone on February 29. Basically a 5G device, the Vivo flagship will be called Vivo Z6 5G. Already spotted, the device with model number V1963A on TENAA reveals almost everything about Vivo Z6 5G.

The certification site churns out all details of the upcoming Vivo Z6 smartphone.

Coming to what we know, Vivo Z6 will feature a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display offering a screen resolution of 1080 x 2080 pixels. We are yet to know whether it’s going to come with a higher screen refresh rate or not.

Vivo Z6 5G is going to be powered by the recently unveiled Qualcomm mid-range 5G chip, the 2.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 765G. A slightly enhanced version of Snapdragon 765, the SD 765G has more graphical abilities to offer more gaming-centric functionalities.

The TENAA listing reveals two variants of Vivo Z6 5G. The Vivo V1963A will be made available in three models: 6GB and 8GB RAM versions with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storage ROMs.

Vivo Z6 5G will run Android 10 out of the box with Vivo’s own FunTouch OS skin on top.

Coming to optics, Vivo Z6 5G will feature a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a primary 48-megapixel shooter, an 8-megapixel secondary shooter and two 2-megapixel sensors. Upfront, Vivo Z6 5G will have a 16-megapixel shooter.

Vivo Z6 5G will come with dual SIM 5G support and Dual 4G VoLTE. Vivo Z6 5G will be available in three colour options: Light Blue, Black and Purple.

In terms of battery, Vivo Z6 5G will have a sizable unit to backup the 5G phone.

The listing reveals a 4,880mAh battery, and it will support fast charging, maybe 44W FC or more. Snapdragon 765G supports both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes. It will pack a 5,000 mAh battery which supports up to 44W fast-charging.
