Step 1. Go to Play Store

Step 2. Search for ‘WhatsApp’

Step 3. You will see that the WhatsApp application on Play Store is asking for an update

Step 4. Update the WhatsApp application, and relaunch the app

Step 5. Click on the ‘three dots’ on top right and go to settings

Step 6. Now click on Accounts > Privacy > Fingerprint Lock

WhatsApp Face Unlock For Android hasn’t been rolled out with the fingerprint feature. Face unlock on WhatsApp is available on iPhones where the WhatsApp application can be unlocked using both the TouchID or FaceID authentication.

But the recent update only allows fingerprint authentication for WhatsApp on Android.
