Realme 2 Pro Launch In September: Expected Specs, Price & More!

We were all surprised how Realme downgraded its Realme 1 successor with a less-better processor and display. But, at the end of the event, the company gave out a huge hint on its next upcoming device, the Realme 2 Pro.
Realme 2 isn’t exactly the successor to Realme 1, but a part of the successor series. Realme 2 is the lite version of the second generation series, and there’s an upcoming Pro version.
So, the actual successor to Realme 1 is going to be Realme 2 Pro, and Realme 2 was a lighter version of the Pro model, just like Xiaomi has it’s Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Realme 2 Pro: The Real Realme 1 Successor
If you are still surprised why the Oppo sub-brand has put in inferior infernals in Realme 2 compared to Realme 1, your answer is waiting with Realme 2 Pro. What it seems like is that the Realme 2 is a part of the successor series of Realme 1. It will have two smartphones under the Realme 2 series: Realme 2 and Realme 2 Pro.
As per a few reports, Realme is planning to launch another four to five smartphones by the end of this year.
The company is planning to get hold of the budget smartphone market by offering value-for-money handsets, directly hitting at the segment led mainly by its Chinese counterpart Xiaomi. Realme hasn’t revealed any specs or details about its upcoming Realme 2 Pro, though has confirmed that it will launch in September.

Realme 2 Pro is going to be an improved version of Realme 2. The Pro device is expected to come with some of the top internals which includes a Full HD+ notched 19:9 display, a better processor: maybe Snapdragon 625 or 630 or 636, a similar-sized battery, fast-changing support, dual cameras, Android 8.1 Oreo and more.
Technically, the Realme 2 Pro is being expected to be a successor to Realme 2 in actual terms.
Coming to the price, it will launch around the sub-Rs 15,000 category, with a starting price expected between Rs 11,990 to Rs 13,990. Realme 2 Pro will launch at the end of September.
Realme 2 Launched: Everything You Need To Know
Realme 2 has been launched with a 6.2 inch 720p only HD+ 19:9 elongated display with a notch at the top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Realme 2 has two storage options: 32GB and 64GB. Both can be expanded via an external microSD card up to 256GB.
Coming to the software, Realme 2 will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Color OS 5.1 skin on top.
Realme 2 will come with a rear dual camera system consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. Up front, Realme 2 sports an 8-megapixel sensor backed by a huge 4,230mAh battery.
The Realme 2 will be available from September 4 exclusively online via Flipkart.
