After a successful run with Realme 1, the Oppo owned sub-brand is now all set to launch its successor, Realme 2. In a bid to give Xiaomi a tough fight in the budget segment, Oppo launched its budget sub-brand Realme in India.
Realme 1 soon became a huge hit in the Indian smartphone market, and within four months the successor is set to hit the stores.
Realme 2 is out, and the company is now planning to scale up the production and availability owing to the immense success of Realme 1. There’s no official announcement, but the key details of the upcoming smartphone has been leaked online.

Realme 2 Leaked | Realme 2 Specs
Soon after being leaked, the pictures of the Realme 1 successor was taken down owing to copyright issues, though the pictures of Realme 2 are already viral on the internet. As per the leaked details, the upcoming smartphone will see an all new design language and upgraded internals.
Realme 2 will come with a display notch at the top. So, the Realme 1 successor will come with an 19:9 elongated display, an upgrade over the widescreen display.
Another major update is the rear dual camera system. Realme 1 missed out on the dual cameras, to which it lost out to its competitors over imaging capabilities. But, with Realme 2 the company is keeping no stone unturned. The all new Realme 2 will come with a rear dual camera system, though the camera specs are not out yet.
Also, Realme 1 missed out on a fingerprint scanner. In spite of a high-quality image unlock feature, several users complained of multiple failed attempts. So, the company has placed a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.

The retail box of the Realme 2 was recently leaked by GSMArena. The box didn’t give away much of the details, but as per the rumours, the upcoming Realme smartphone will come with some of the improvised internals and specs. The major upgrade inside is going to be the processor.
This time the Oppo sub-brand will pack in a Snapdragon chipset and not a MediaTek processor. The camera and hardware will see an upgrade as well.

Slashleaks has put out a report that that Realme 2 will launch in the country on August 26. If not August, we are expecting the smartphone to launch in the country by the end of September or early October. It’s just four months that the company launched its first Realme device, the Realme 1.
So, launching a successor within this very short span seems like an awful idea.
Realme 1 is already doing good in the market, and it will hamper the sales if the company plans to launch Realme 2 soon.
Realme 2 Price | Realme 2 Pricing In India
Realme 2 again will come at a very competitive price point. The smartphone is expected to be pitted against newly-launched mid-range flagships Xiaomi Mi A2 and Honor Play. The smartphone will be price somewhere around Rs 14,000 to Rs 18,000 or may be below.
If launched in the sub-15,000 category, Realme 2 will stand a good chance to beat some top-selling smartphones in the segment.
