The world’s richest man Elon Musk has said in a tweet that his recently-acquire microblogging and social networking Twitter will revamp its user verification process, only days after taking over the giant.

The whole verification process is currently under the revision process right now, the billionaire said in a tweet. However, Musk did not provide any insights or details about what could be changed.

As part of the social media behemoth’s subscription service launched in June 2021 called Twitter Blue, there are speculations that plans are being made to charge a monthly sum of  $4.99 to subscribe to the plan for continuing to become a part of the Twitter Blue community.

According to a Platformer report, the American micro-blogging company is mulling to put a sum of money as charge for the coveted blue check mark on the profile. This is done to verify the identity of the respective account holder, said people familiar with the matter.

Currently the project is on the works and has not been made a final decision on by the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk but Platformer believes that the aforementioned verification process could likely be accommodate as a part of Twitter Blue.

Further, using Twitter Blue, the paid subscriber can also be able to edit the posted tweets, which is normally not available for general users. There are tons of more features provided under Twitter Blue, including an ‘exclusive access to premium features’ on a monthly subscription payment basis.

The billionaire has also requested that logged out users visiting Twitter’s site be redirected to the Explore page which shows trending tweets, cited a Verge report on Sunday, covering insights from the company’s employees.

Regarding the feature to be able to edit tweets via the Twitter Blue monthly subscription model, a Reuters report said that Musk had insisted using a Twitter poll in April to collect views from his millions of followers on whether they would benefit from having an edit option on the platform, to which more than 70% responded as ‘Yes’.
