With its vision of ‘2G-mukt Bharat’, On Friday Reliance Jio launched its new unlimited services plan for feature phone users in India.
When the world is standing at the cusp of a 5G revolution, in India there are almost 300 million subscribers who are trapped in the 2G era and are unable to access basic features of the internet said Akash Ambani, Director, Reliance Jio.
He added that Reliance Jio has not only democratized the internet but also has passed on the benefits of technology to every Indian. Technology is at the fingertips of everyone and is not the prerogative or privilege of select few. New JioPhone 2021 is one step in that direction. In order to eradicate the digital divide as well as to make sure that every Indian joins the movement bold steps are being taken by Jio.
?1,999 Plan
New users will get a JioPhone device which in turn will have unlimited voice calls and data (2GB high-speed data every month) for two years. This plan will be priced at ?1,999. This means that there is no need to recharge for 2 years.
?1,499 Plan
There is another plan for one year which will be priced at ?1,499 which will include a JioPhone device, unlimited voice calls and data (2GB high-speed data every month). This means that there is no need to recharge for a year.
More than 100 million feature phone users have been upgraded onto the JioPhone platform according to the company and in its mission ‘2G-mukt Bharat’, in order to induct 300 million 2G phone users into its services Jio has launched these offers.
