Talking about electric cars in India, it has been a year since Tata’s all-electric offering, the Tata Nexon EV was launched.

In a recent update, Tesla confirmed the opening of a manufacturing center in India.

Tesla Models And Pricing

Tesla Model 3

The Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has confirmed the big 2021 arrival of Tesla in the Indian market. 

So far, it is the best selling and most affordable model from Tesla.

That’s why it will be imported in large numbers to be sold directly in India.

Tesla plans to import Completely Built Units (CBU), which will raise the price slightly since the manufacturing base is not ready yet.

This model can be fully charged within 15 minutes and has a range of 500kms, with a top speed of 162kmph, costing between Rs 55 to 60 lakhs.

Tesla Model S

According to Business Standard, the Tesla Model S is set to make its debut in the Indian market.

It is considered to be more premium and will be offered in three different variants, which are 75D, 100D and P100D.

The Tesla Model S is estimated to be priced at Rs 1.5 crore. 

According to the price, it automatically stands at the first position in the luxury sedan category in India.

Further, Tesla is expected to face strong competition from the likes of BMW and Audi.

Tesla Model X

So far, it is not certain that Tesla’s Model X will come to India.

This 7-seater crossover SUV just got a bunch of new upgrades, which makes it a very attractive option. 

With the expectation of launching soon in India, the facelifted Tesla Model X is set to cost anywhere between $89,990 and $119,990,as mentioned by  CarDekho.
