Since festive season is starting, Indian Railways has now announced the running of special trains this month, that is October.

Under special services, the Indian Railways has given the green signal to zones for 39 additional trains. The exact dates from which these trains will run has not been declared, but it’s expected that they will start from this month onwards.

Besides, Tejas Express trains, which was India’s 1st private trains, will also start soon, from October 17th.

Ministry of Railways Introduces 39 Additional Trains Under Special Services

As per the Ministry of Railways, these will be introduced as special services from the earliest convenient date.

Most of these trains will belong to AC Express, Duronto, Rajdhani, and Shatabdi. However, the exact date from when the trains will resume has not yet been declared by the government. 

The Railway Ministry tweeted, “Railway Board today gave approval to zones for 39 new trains. These services will be introduced as special services from an early convenient date: Ministry of Railways, Government of India.”

Tejas Express Bookings Started

Meanwhile Indian Railways has announced that they will start Tejas Express trains from October 17th.

Bookings for all tickets under Tejas Express will be started in a day or two.

Tejas Express is India’s 1st series of private trains, and it runs between two routes as of now: New Delhi to Lucknow, and Mumbai to Ahmedabad.

All staff members and passengers are mandated to follow social distancing and wear masks when inside the train.
