HCL Technologies has now become India’s 3rd largest publicly listed IT company in India, as it entered the top 10 list today.

HCL Tech has beaten ITC to enter the top 10 list of the biggest publicly listed companies, as per the market cap.

HCL Becomes 3rd Biggest IT Firm, Publicly Listed

The share prices of HCL has witnessed a sharp upward trend, rising as much as 43% in the last few days.

The shares rallied today as well, which enabled HCL Tech to touch market capitalization of Rs 2.21 trillion, as their share prices touched a record high of Rs 810.95 on BSE.

On the other hand, ITC, which was at #10 position, and now slipped to #11 position, has a market capitalization of Rs 2.2 trillion, and trading at Rs 178, which is 11% down.

By beating ITC, HCL has now become the 10th largest publicly listed firm, and 3rd biggest IT firm buy market capitalisation.

The main reason for HCL touching the highs of BSE is their surprise update of mid-quarter, wherein they declared a rock solid revenue growth of 3.5%, which was unexpected.

They have predicted an operating margin of 20-21%, which is again quite stable, and optimistic outlook, which encouraged investors to buy more shares.

If we observe the top 10 list of the largest publicly listed firms, then Reliance is still at #1 positon, with a market cap of Rs 15.7 trillion.

TCS is at #2 position, becoming the largest IT firm which is publicly listed at a market cap of Rs 9.3 trillion.

Infosys is the 2nd biggest IT firm, which is publicly listed with market cap of Rs 4.4 trillion. I the top 10 list, it’s ranked #5.
