Xiaomi Smart TV Leads Market for 6 Straight Quarters!

As per IDC’s latest report on Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker, Q3 2019, Xiaomi’s MiTV has maintained market leadership for six consecutive quarters. It continues to be in lead in the India smart TV market, with a market share of 33% in Q3 2019.

Xiaomi is followed by Samsung with a 14% market share and LG stands at third place with 13% market share. These three brands are followed by Sony, with a 10% market share and TCL with 9%.

Xiaomi’s Increased TV Sales

The report further puts light on the fact that Xiaomi has recorded a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth of 46% and year-on-year (YoY) growth of 69% in the third quarter.

Raghu Reddy, Head Online Sales, Xiaomi India says that their TVs have always upheld the core philosophy of providing a content-first and consistent experience with a focus on India. It provides over 7 lakh hours of content in more than 16 languages, with above 18 content partners and live news.

As per Xiaomi, MiTVs are available across 70+ Mi Homes, 20+ Mi Studios, 2,500+ Mi Stores and several Mi Preferred Partner outlets. Also, more than 85% of MiTVs sold in India are made in the country with a focus on bringing more component assembly to the country.
