Xiaomi is all set to launch its very first 48 MP phone today, while on the other side its peers Asus and Vivo have slashed prices of two of its bestselling devices. Xiaomi has been teasing its phone for a long time now, which is expected to be the Redmi Pro 2.

Asus have now permanently reduced the price of its bestselling Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Vivo is all set to unveil the second generation Vivo NEX 2 in India, and as a result it has permanently discounted the first generation Vivo NEX by 5,000 rupees. Vivo NEX now costs 5,000 cheap, making it one of the best phones you can buy under Rs 40,000 in India.

Xiaomi 48MP Phone Launch Today

Chinese handset maker Xiaomi will launch its new 48MP phone today. It is being speculated to be the Redmi Pro 2 which will house the Sony IMX 586 sensor, world’s first true 48 megapixels supported camera.

Some reports hint at Redmi 7 Pro, but the chances are very unlikely.

Redmi Pro 2 is more likely to be unveiled today, which will also pack in the newly launched Snapdragon 675 processor. It’s going to be a budget smartphone and is expected to priced somewhere around 15,000 to 18,000 rupees.

Redmi Pro 2 will also be the first Xiaomi to sport an all glass rear panel. Till now Xiaomi has been either using a polycarbonate body or metal backs, but the glass design for a budget device makes it interesting. Redmi Pro 2 will come with three cameras at the back where the primary sensor is going to be the 48MP Sony sensor including a telephoto wide angle lens.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Now Available At 9,999

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has received a permanent price cut, and now starts at only Rs 9,999, down from Rs 11,999. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 base variant will now be available at Rs 9,999 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, and the 4GB RAM and 64GB at Rs 11,999.

The top-end model with better cameras, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will now sell for Rs 13,999 a piece.

The whole Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has received a permanent price drop of Rs 2,000. Asus recently unveiled the second generation Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 in the country packing in a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 19:9 notched display, dual cameras and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 still remains one of the best budget smartphones you can buy.

And now under 10,000, a smartphone with an 18:9 widescreen display, Snapdragon 636 chipset, dual cameras, 5,000mAh and stock Android makes it a steal at this price.

Vivo NEX Now Costs Rs 5,000 Less

The first generation Vivo NEX is now available at a flat Rs 5,000 discount, which is now available at Rs 39,990. The price cut makes Vivo NEX a tight competitor to OnePlus 6T.

The price cut hints at launch of the second generation NEX 2 with dual displays in India. The smartphone was unveiled in China backing up a Snapdragon 845, 10GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone has been launched at CNY 4,998 (around Rs 52,350).

Vivo is also planning to launch a NEX 2 with dual displays and Snapdragon 710 and 8GB RAM at a cheaper price for masses.

Coming to Vivo NEX, the new price makes it an attractive option at under 40,000 rupees housing a full screen display, dual cameras, Snapdragon 845, pop up selfie camera, 4,000mAh battery and more.
