OnePlus 7 Will Support 5G? Here’s Everything You Need To Know!
OnePlus 7 will be one of the first phones in 2019 to support 5G
OnePlus 6T is just a week away, but the details of its next iteration are already out. Yes, the next OnePlus flagship, the OnePlus 7 details are already out. To spill the beans, OnePlus 7 is going to be one of the first set of 5G phones to launch in the world.
Xiaomi is already set to launch the first commercial 5G phone tomorrow in China, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3.
Interestingly OnePlus already has ran a a 5G test at the Qualcomm headquarters in San Diego. So, there’s a lot new you can expect on the upcoming OnePlus 7 flagship. The company is expected to launch its first smart TV on the side during the same time.
OnePlus 7: Everything So Far
As per a report, OnePlus will launch a 5G device next year. The company hasn’t mentioning OnePlus 7, but its quite obvious. OnePlus is going to be one of the first companies in the world to launch a 5G phone.
It was Oppo who developed the first 5G modem for a smartphone, the sister company of OnePlus.
The company has already ran a successful 5G test at the Qualcomm headquarters for the next OnePlus flagship. The first commercial 5G phone, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will pack in the same internals, including 5G modems and antennas.
OnePlus has been working on 5G since 2016. Qualcomm and OnePlus collaborated on the research for compatible 5G smartphone hardware and network architecture to offer superfast download speeds.
5G Smartphones Taking Over
Huawei will join the 5G bandwagon in March 2019 with its P series, and later in October with Mate lineup. The newly unveiled Kirin 980 already supports 5G powering up the Mate 20 series.
On the same note, Samsung is rumoured to launch 5G compatible smartphones in 2019: first Galaxy S10 and then Galaxy Note 10.

Founder Carl Pei has already confirmed that they will bring 5G to the following OnePlus smartphones without naming any device. So, both the expected OnePlus flagships next year: OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T will support 5G network.
OnePlus 7: Things To Expect
OnePlus 6T is coming with some of the first time features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, water-drop notched display in a new bezel-less screen. As we see the notch disappearing, the next OnePlus 7 device may come with a mechanical camera slider for a full-screen display.
Oppo has already done it. So, there are high chances that either OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7T may come with a slider for a truly bezel-less display.
The smartphone will already come with 5G support, so there might be higher RAM, tri-camera setup, wireless charging, the next-generation flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and more.
OnePlus 6T is launching globally on October 29 at New York. The smartphone will launch in India on October 30 at New Delhi, and is expected to go sale by next week.
