Honor 7X Launching In India This December – Should The Competition Worry?

Honor is planning to strengthen their product range in the highly saturated mid-range segment of the Indian smartphone market. The Chinese smartphone maker has a range of mid-rangers ready for their India launch at ‘unbeatable prices’. The new smartphones will include their latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform integration.
The company is looking to strengthen their offline channels even more. Their next big launch will be Honor 7X, which will happen in December. The company is planning to launch the smartphone at an extremely competitive price.

Honor 7X – Specifications And Features
The Huawei Honor 7X has already launched in China in October 2017. It will make it to India by the end of December 2017.
Design and Build
The smartphone is built out of metal and glass and looks like a toned-down version of Honor 8 Pro, sporting an almost-similar design. The fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel, beneath the dual-camera setup.
Display
The Honor 7X will come with a 5.93 inch Full HD+ LTPS-LCD display with 18:9 aspect bezel-less screen ratio. It has a 2.5D curved glass display on top with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 407 PPI.
Hardware
The Honor 7X will be powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core Kirin 659 chipset coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
Software
The device will run Android Nougat with Huawei’s customized EMUI 5.1 on top.
Storage
Honor 7X has three storage variants – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. All the variants will have 4GB of RAM. The internal storage can be increased up to 256GB via an external memory card.
Camera
Honor 7X will sport a dual camera setup at the back with a combination of 16 MP primary and 2MP secondary lens equipped with a LED flash. It supports phase detection auto-focus (PDAF), geo-tagging and touch-to-focus. Up front, it has a 8MP selfie-shooter.
SIM Support And Connectivity
The Honor 7X will feature a hybrid dual-SIM tray (Nano+Nano) and will support all major 4G LTE bands along with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1 and USB OTG. It has all the requisite sensors on board including an FM Radio. It will be equipped with a micro USB 2.0 port.
Battery
The smartphone packs in a 3,340mAh non-removable battery, which can power the phone through a typical working day quite easily.
Price and Variants
Honor 7X is already available in China at following prices. The prices in India will also be similar with minor differences;

- 4GB + 128GB – 1999 yuan (approximately Rs. 19,750/-)
Availability
So far, Honor smartphones have been an exclusively online brand. But, the Honor 7X will be available via online as well as offline channels.
