RCom Home Phone big

When everyone is talking about just Reliance Jio and the insanely low prices for 4G internet, Reliance Communication, led by Anil Ambani, has introduced India’s first ever landline phones with 4G LTE facility.

Not just any landline or fixed line phone, RComm has introduced a wire-free and a buffer-free 4G LTE HomePhone. The phone comes with a 4G SIM slot and can double up as a wireless router for other devices in your home. Even though the Android system on the phone is outdated, it would be apt for a landline phone that is used as frequently as a smartphone.

Specifications

  • Ultra High-Speed 4G Data. Can connect up to 8 WiFi enabled devices
  • 3.5 Inch TFT Colour touch screen
  • High Quality HD Voice, SMS and VoLTE
  • Easy cascading of YouTube to Smart TV
  • Android 5.1 OS

Just like smartphones, you can carry this landline phone wherever you want to, since it is essentially connected wirelessly through its sim card slot. So it is not fixed line, and will not lose connection even if there is no 4G network around, as it is will slip into 3G/2G depending on the area.

Bundled offers with this landline

RComm is offering some exciting offers with this landline. This landline phone has the potential to replace your dumb fixed-line phones and RComm knows how to influence your decision.

Along with the phone, the telco will be offering two plans – 4G Smart Life 299 and 4G Smart Life 499 at Rs 299 and Rs 499 respectively. The former offer 2GB of data per month, while the latter offers 4GB of data every month. After the data quota is over, the prices have not be disclosed, but promised to be low.

Both the plans bundle 300 local and STD minutes every month, and 40 paise per minute once the free minutes are over. Every SMS will cost 25 paise for local and 38 paise for STD. This is not very high considering the existing prices from Airtel and MTNL. In fact, you can move from other telcos to RComm without changing your number.

Unfortunately, this piece of tech is available only to the employees of Reliance(led by Anil Ambani) and a few other areas, and the list is provided on the website. You can get referred by an RComm employee easily to get your hands on this landline.

Reliance Jio is on track in bringing a 4G LTE enabled feature phone in India and that could give some serious competition to this wire-free landline phone. However, if you want to get rid of your fixed phone line and want to get a smart-landline phone, this couldn’t be a better time to get one.

You can purchase this Reliance Communications 4G LTE-enabled Android phone here.
