After Tata, Adani Group Will Build World’s Strongest Super App In India: Expected Features?
The Ahmedabad-based conglomerate Adani Group’s youngest arm, Adani Digital Labs will be developing a ‘super app’ for over 400 million large consumer base across all verticals.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani conducted the first internal meeting of Adani Digital Group with the employees recently, where he addressed 78 employees of building an app which would cater to all Adani consumers.
A super app is a digital platform that allows a user to access several services from one single app. An example of a super app is Paytm.
Adani Group’s Ambitious Plan of Super App
A couple of days back, Gautam Adani addressed a group of 78 young employees of Adani Group’s digital arm, Adani Digital Labs, where he kept forth the plan of developing a super app, which would cater to every Adani consumer.
The super app will aim to cater to all the consumers using the products or services of different companies of Adani Group, right from airports, gas, realty, electricity, financial services, to consumer products, through a single platform.
In his addressal, Adani mentioned that the idea was sowed in January, when he was presented with a mockup of a super app.
“It took less than 30 minutes for me to decide that we must become a player in this space,” he said to his employees.
Adani Group has nearly 400 million consumers using its services and products across different verticals. The app will cater to each one of them.
This means that while a customer of Adani Port can use the app for one purpose, say transaction, another consumer from a different vertical like Adani Green can use it simultaneously for some other purpose.
“We will build the most influential and profitable super app in the world”, added Adani.
Adani Group had in April 2021, appointed Nitin Sethi as the Chief Digital Officer for the consumer business.
Adani Consumers Growing by 15% in Every Segment
While addressing the group of almost 80 employees of Adani Digital Labs, Gautam Adani shared the company’s plans with the and stated that across all the group companies, a consumer growth of 15% is witnessed.
“If we can onboard every Adani consumer on our digital platform, we will have a billion consumers well before 2030”, marked Adani. The conglomerate aims to bring onboard (on the app) every 400 million of its consumer base.
He said that the user interface and complexity of the app on the user end should be such that it can be used easily by every demography of users, right from students, to adults, to farmers, to grandparents.
He also emphasized that Adani Digital Labs has the potential to become the biggest business that the group has built till date and be a crucial part of the group’s trillion dollar valuation ambition, states TOI.
