A survey by ManageEngine, the IT management division of Zoho Corporation, has found that 95% of Indian companies will retain the work from home (WFH) model for the next 2 years.

Survey Participants
The survey comprised 1,210 IT executives and technology professionals from North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and India.
From India, respondents from businesses with more than 500 employees across 18 industry verticals participated in the survey.
Cybersecurity Issues
The survey also found that 89% of respondents had concerns about security challenges due to the WFH model.
This is because these companies had little control over the software their employees bought and installed on their devices.
The report said that security had taken top priority due to increased security risks posed by phishing, targeting employee devices, malware, account hijacking, and social media exploits.
Increased Reliance On Cloud And AI
97% of firms had increased dependence on cloud solutions and 96% saw an increase in business analytics and confidence in artificial intelligence (AI).
AI improved business insights, operations and customer satisfaction and led to better results according to 89% of firms.
IT Team Pegged To Lead Company Future
The company’s future was heavily reliant on the tech leadership team.
This is reinforced by 89% of respondents who believed that IT leaders were better equipped and qualified to assume the role of the CEO’s mantle.
This is in comparison to leadership in other departments such as sales, marketing and finance.
The survey stated that “dynamic, quick, data-driven decision-making” found in it was a “critical business enabler” which resulted in enhanced customer experience.
In order to achieve this, a greater reliance on AI and deep analytics was required.
Indians Most In Need To Learn New Skills
IT workers in India were also found to be the most in need to learn new skills such as public cloud.
The need to adopt new tech was greater in order to improve reliability, security and competitiveness.
