Snapdragon 875 will come in late this year, the tentative launch is in December.

Realme VP Xu Qi hinted at a possible exclusive tie-up with Snapdragon Qualcomm for the upcoming flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 875. The top SoC will power the next-gen high-end Realme phones starting with Realme 7 Pro+ followed by Realme X60 Pro, Realme X4 Pro and more.

The company has already unveiled Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro and Realme 7i smartphones under the Realme 7 series until now.

Realme Snapdragon 875 Phones: Realme 7 Pro+, Realme X60 Pro, Realme X4 Pro

Realme 7 Pro+ could become the first phone in the world to run on Snapdragon 875. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the alleged Realme Snapdragon 875 model will also feature 125W UltraDart fast charging technology. The Realme Snapdragon 875 smartphone is said to come with a punch-hole display. 

The device will support 5G connectivity alongside other top-end features and specs.

Snapdragon 875 will be available by the beginning of December. Asus is also working on an exclusive gaming phone with Qualcomm.

Last year it was Xiaomi who launched the first Snapdragon 865 phones, the predecessor to the upcoming flagship Snapdragon 875. Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship processor will power on a range of high-end devices including phones from Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo and Oppo. 

Xiaomi will launch Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro early next year with Snapdragon 875, but this time Realme may do it first, probably by January 2021. The Mi 11 series launch will probably happen in February.

Snapdragon 875 is set to power the next range of flagships starting in early 2021. The chipmaker will unveil the chip at the Qualcomm Summit in December 2020, with availability expected from early 2021.

Here are some of the expected upcoming Snapdragon 875 phones.

Realme 7 Pro+

Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro

Xiaomi Mi 10 series run on the latest Snapdragon 865, and the company is also bringing Mi 10 to India. Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are powered by Snapdragon 865. Next year, the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will be powered by the top Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 875. The names are yet to be confirmed, so they could be Mi 20 and Mi 20 Pro as well.

Mi 10 series launched back in February. The next Mi flagships will happen in February 2021, and it will be among the first smartphones in the world to be powered by Snapdragon 875 SoC.

Redmi K40 Pro / Poco F3 Pro

Both Redmi K30 series devices are already out, and soon Redmi K30 Pro will come to India as Poco F2 Pro or Poco X2 Pro with Snapdragon 865 powering it. As Redmi K30 Pro dons the latest Qualcomm flagship, the next generation Redmi K40 Pro will run on Snapdragon 875, which may come to India as Poco F3 Pro or Poco X3 Pro in 2021.

Redmi K40 Pro will come with 120Hz refresh rate display, multi camera setup, 12GB RAM, 5G connectivity and more. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 875.

Realme X4 Pro

Realme unveiled Realme X2 Pro with Snapdragon 855 Plus in 2019, and they will be upgrading it with Realme X3 Pro in 2020 with Snapdragon 865. The next successor, Realme X4 Pro will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 875 chip. The company may opt for a punch-hole display this time for Realme X3 Pro with Snapdragon 865 powering the smartphone.

With the penta camera fever catching up, Realme X3 Pro might come with a penta camera. Realme X3 is about to launch in a few weeks, and Realme X4 series will soon hit the development phase with two new devices: Realme X4 and Realme X4 Pro, where the latter will run on Snapdragon 875. 

Realme X60 Pro

Realme unveiled a top-end 5G smartphone in 2020, the Realme X50 Pro. Realme X50 Pro 5G supports dual-mode NSA and SA 5G network helmed by the Snapdragon 865 processor. Similarly, the successor will also be powered by the next generation Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 875 in 2021.

Realme X60 Pro will again support dual-mode 5G connectivity with upgraded internals. Realme X60 Pro 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 875 with 5G support backed by other top features.

Samsung Galaxy S30, Galaxy S30+, Galaxy S30 Ultra

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S130 series series will launch in early 2021, and it will have three devices under the series as the current S20 series: standard Galaxy S30, Galaxy S30+ and Galaxy S30+ Ultra. The Galaxy S30 series will come with upgraded internals and some slew changes on the out including the optics.

Galaxy S30 series will be powered by Snapdragon 875 featuring Dynamic AMOLED panels with Quad HD+ resolution. It may continue with the box shaped modules for rear cameras with multiple sensors for different purposes. 

OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus 8 series is already out, and now there’s OnePlus Z in the line with OnePlus 8T series later in the year. The company for the first time adopted a punch-hole design technology with the current Qualcomm chip under the hood. The OnePlus smartphones next year will be powered by Snapdragon 875, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

Both the OnePlus 9 smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 875, expected to launch in mid-2021 globally, probably in April 2021.

Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6XL

While we are yet to get Pixel 5 series, if the company chooses to continue with their smartphones, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6XL will be powered by Snapdragon 875. The Pixel series haven’t been able to generate much buzz among smartphone buyers, and Google will try to make it up with Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 5XL.

In spite of being good smartphones, the Pixel still aren’t the bestsellers in the market, so a lot is depending upon the upcoming Pixel 5 smartphones. In 2021, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6XL will come with the latest Snapdragon 875 platform. 

Samsung Galaxy Note 12, Galaxy Note 12 Plus

Samsung Galaxy Note 12 series will come in 2021. Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will power Note 12 and Note 12 Plus in the US, and the top-end similarly powered Exynos chip in other countries including India. Galaxy Note 12 series will have certain improvements over the current series alongside a 5G model. Galaxy Note 12 series will also have two models, a standard and a plus variant.

Coming to optics, Galaxy Note 12 is expected to have a multi camera setup with a quad or penta camera system apart from Snapdragon 875 under the hood.

Oppo Find X3, Oppo Reno 4

The Snapdragon 875 smartphone is expected in the form of Oppo Find X3. Another BBK-owned company, Oppo has flagship smartphones running on the latest Snapdragon flagship chip, and hence it will definitely be upgrading it’s next flagship with the upcoming Snapdragon 875.

Snapdragon 875 will power different Oppo phones, which will be a part of the current Reno series, or also the popular Oppo R series, multiple Oppo smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 875 in 2021.
