10 Mins For Bengaluru Airport To City Centre Via Hyperloop Train: How It Will Work?

Would you believe it if we told you that you could travel from Bengaluru airport to the city centre in under 10 minutes? Yes, you read that right!

Bengaluru is the silicon valley of India and is home to a massive number of organizations. The traffic in the city is terrible, but Hyperloop might be able to resolve the issue.

How would this be possible? Read on to find out!

Bengaluru Airport To City Centre In Less Than 10 Minutes: City Conducting Feasibility Study For Hyperloop

Virgin Hyperloop and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) have now announced that they will be conducting a study to check the feasibility of a proposed hyperloop corridor that will run between Kempegowda International Airport to Bengaluru city.

Both entities have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the same.

The statement says that the pre-feasibility study will most likely be completed in two phases of six months each. Also, it will focus on technical, economic, and route feasibility. As per the preliminary analysis, the hyperloop is expected to have a speed of up to 1,080 kmph and will be capable of transporting thousands of passengers each hour from Bengaluru Airport to the city center in under 10 minutes.

Bengaluru Airport tweeted about the new development, saying, “We are thrilled to announce a trailblazing #partnership with @virginhyperloop which will delve into the feasibility of a mode of mass transit to enable #travel from #BLRairport to the city centre in 10 minutes. How Will The Hyperloop Work?

Hyperloop has been contemplating pods or capsules that will travel at high speeds through low pressure tubes that will be constructed on columns or underground tunnels. Also, the system would be fully autonomous and sealed so that there is very little scope for any errors related to the drivers.

Given the sealed environment and almost no resistance from the air, the pods will most likely achieve very high speeds.

There have been multiple companies in India that have announced hyperloop routes over the years. This includes the routes between Mumbai and Pune, and between Amravati and Vijayawada.
