Flipkart has now launched a new hyperlocal service that will deliver products from local Flipkart hubs in only 90 minutes. 

There are multiple hyper local delivery services being launched in India recent play including Patanjali’s OrderMe, Reliance Industries’ jio Mart and more.

Flipkart Launches Hyperlocal Delivery Service That Will Deliver Products Under 90 Minutes

Flipkart is one of the leading E-Commerce delivery platforms in India and will now be entering the market of hyperlocal service with the launch of ‘Flipkart Quick’. Through this service Flipkart will be delivering customers’ products from the local Flipkart hubs in only 90 minutes. 

Sandeep Karwa, Vice-President, Flipkart, said, “With Flipkart Quick – our Hyperlocal capability, we have the potential to bring together the whole network of neighbourhood Kirana stores onto our platform with just a click.”

Flipkart will be developing its technology capabilities and supply chain infrastructure to operate this platform.

Flipkart To Offer Handpicked Assortment of More Than 2000 Products in Various Categories

Under this platform, in the first phase, Flipkart will be offering its customers handpicked assortment of more than 2000 products in various categories such as groceries, dairy and meat products, mobiles, electronics accessories, stationery items, and home accessories.

As per reports, consumers will be able to select from two options: ordering in the next 90 minutes or booking a 2 hour slot as per their own convenience. Orders can be placed by customers at any time of the day and they can get their orders delivered between 6 a.m. to midnight. However, there will be a mandatory minimum delivery fee of rupees 29 that should be paid by the customer. 

The debut of Flipkart Quick will be in selected locations of Bengaluru including Whitefield, Panathur, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Banashankari, KR Puram, and Indiranagar. The service will be expanding to other cities over the next few months.

Flipkart Quick will be using a latitude and longitude approach that will help the e-commerce platform to locate the customers precisely, which will also help to deliver their orders timely. Flipkart Quick will use innovative and advanced technology for precise location mapping. This is a great move away from the usual system which uses pin-code to identify the delivery location
