Build & Design: Too Flashy?

The brand new Vivo V19 comes with a flashy gradient design on the out with the best in the market Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It’s sturdy and feels good to be held. The smartphone feels premium, and the build quality is excellent along with Gorilla Glass 6 making it durable enough.

Vivo V19 will be available in two colours: Mystic Silver and Piano Black, both look ravishing.

The curves on the sides make it comfortable for one hand use, and the weight is divided proportionally. 

Even with the comparatively large 6.44-inch display, Vivo V19 fits well and you won’t find any difficulty using it with a single hand. At the back V19 features a rectangular camera module, which oozes out a bit. But it bundles with a hard plastic case to help you out.

Display: Dual Punch-Hole Super AMOLED Panel

Vivo V19 features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, HDR 10 certified. The size is perfect and the colours are sharp with adequate contrast levels. Brightness levels are good enough for sunlight viewing which means you won’t have much and the Super AMOLED helps with the best of the blacks.

Vivo V19 also features an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner, quite fast and crisp.

Hardware, Storage: Snapdragon 712 Good Enough?

Under the hood, Vivo V19 is powered by the Qualcomm mid-range chip, Snapdragon 712. The processor pairs with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, which is further expandable via a dedicated micro-SD card offering a triple slot plate.

Gaming, Software: How Does It Go?

The Vivo smartphone runs on the latest Android 10 with Vivo’s customised Funtouch OS 10 skin on top. Coming to gaming on Vivo V19, it does a decent job. Be it PUBG or Asphalt 8, it does a good job with the graphics and performance. While it may not be the best gaming phone for the price, but it definitely gets your job done.

Coming to software, Vivo V19 has been well optimised with the newly upgraded skin. Funtouch OS 10 has a lot of customisations and bloatware.

Cameras, Videography: Good Enough For The Price?

Vivo V19 comes with a quad camera setup at the back featuring a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle and two 2MP cameras: one macro lens and one portrait lens. Up front, Vivo V19 features two cameras, a 32MP wide and a 2MP ultra wide-angle sensor inside the dual punch hole cutout.

The initial shots came out impressive, and the Vivo V29 has a lot to offer in the camera department. The 48MP sensor does nail most of the shots well, and it’s good enough at this price. We are yet to test it in-depth.

Battery, Fast Charging: Worthy?

The Vivo phone is backed by a sizable 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support via USB Type-C. The device can easily run for more than a day even with extensive use. The processor and software has been optimised to make sure that Vivo V19 runs longer.

The 33W fast charger will make sure that you juice up your phone really fast and get ready to run within some minutes.

Pricing, Availability: Costly?

Vivo V19 in India will be available in two options starting at Rs 27,990. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB is available at Rs 27,990, while the 8GB RAM model with 256GB storage is priced at Rs 31,990.

Vivo V19 will be directly going against the likes of Redmi K20 Pro, Asus 6Z, Galaxy A71 and alo Vivo’s own Vivo V17 Pro.
