The company is planning to replace the existing traditional sales model with a new subscription model which is expected to be called as Apple Prime.

Cook said, “In terms of hardware as a service or as a bundle, if you will, there are customers today that essentially view the hardware like that because they’re on upgrade plans and so forth,”.

Moreover, he has also given some hints about something similar to a subscription model.

What Is This Subscription Model?

According to that, the company will bundle its services as Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music and Apple Pay which will also include the iPhone for a monthly fee.

The company already offers an upgrade plan to its US consumer base, wherein consumers are already paying for their iPhones on a monthly basis.

As part of this plan, the customers can trade their old iPhone with the latest one, after paying for a year.

The company may club its services to the existing iPhone Upgrade Program under Apple Prime.

Why This iPhone Upgrade Program?

Apple is expecting that this would increase its sales and revenue. Also, it would be a better and easier way for people to get on board with Apple’s list of services.

Apple also has unveiled the Apple TV Plus service in India recently. Its starting price is Rs 99 in India and also can be shared by six people.

Can Users Have A Trial Of These Services?

The company is also offering a free trial of the Apple TV Plus for a week for the Interested users.

According to the plan, Apple will charge Rs 99 for a monthly subscription, which will get renewed automatically unless the user prompts.

Apple has also worked on the affordability of these services as the service is priced affordably, considering its price in the US, which is $4.99 per month.
