Amidst all the recent and very emerging changes in the Indian Railways, where even privatization of trains has been gaining a lot of traction.
We also filled you in regarding the Indian Railways announcing to to redevelop 22 of its major stations across the country, in order to match the world standards. On a similar stride, towards achieving last-mile connectivity for people travelling between small towns and major cities, the Indian Railways have announced to launch 10 ‘Sewa Service’ trains on 15th October.
10 ‘Sewa Service’ Trains to be Launched on 15th Oct
Indian Railways is continually upping its game with new launches and soon-to be developments. It has recently announced to start 10 ‘Sewa Service’ trains, which wil connect smaller cities to important ones, for better connectivity. Out of these 10 trains, 5 will run on a daily basis, while the rest of them will have 6 days a week service.
The Ministry of Railways will introduce these 5 daily Sewa Express trains between
- Delhi and Shamli
- Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh town
- Murkongselex and Dibrugarh
- Kota and Jhalawar City
- Coimbatore and Palani
Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal will start the ‘Sewa Service’ trains by inaugurating Delhi-Shamli daily passenger train from New Delhi on Tuesday and flag off the other trains through video-conferencing.
The other trains to run for 6 days a week, will route between
- Vadnagar to Mahesana
- Asarya to Himmatnagar
- Karur to SalemYesvantpur to Tumkur
- Coimbatore to Pollachi
