Oppo, OnePlus Users Are Most Satisfied In India; 42% Indians Own More Than 1 Smartphone!
According to sources, there is a survey done by Numr Research for Indian Smartphones. In which they have checked NPS (Net Promoter Score) for diverse Smartphone brands.
During this survey, some did better than others. Oppo won the race with the highest NPS, while Oneplus and Huawei weren’t much behind.
Shockingly, top-selling brands like Samsung, Xiaomi and Vivo didn’t do very well with NPS scores compared to other brands.

NPS Ranking System
It is a metric for calculating customer satisfaction and loyalty. This is measured on a scale of 0-10.
This metric calculation considered how likely you are to recommend company/service to your friends, family or colleagues.
A higher NPS score is a good indication of high customer’s satisfaction. It also increases the probability of recommending the product to their peers.
In this chase of numbers, Oppo, Oneplus and Huwaei took the top three spots.
While legendary brands like Apple (NPS 68), Xiaomi (NPS 66), Lenovo (NPS 64) and Samsung (NPS 63) didn’t fall far behind.
Shockingly Vivo didn’t do well with a score of NPS-25, as it is considered one of the top brands in terms of sales and marketing spends.
This survey was conducted online among the people belonging to different cities like Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad.
The people responded to this survey was aged between 25 to 60 years and more than 500 responses are considered for concluding this survey.

You will be amazed to know that 52% of the population uses only one Smartphone while 42% population is owning 2 Smartphone at a time. (Survey link)
5% reported that they are using three Smartphones and 1% said that they are using 4 or more Smartphones.
These results are quite surprising and entertaining as according to reports more than 161 million Smartphones were sold in India during 2018.
Other interesting findings are:
1. People spending more than one hour on Online shopping (64 min), Social Media (67 min) and watching videos or movies (69 min).
2. People spending an average of 56 minutes on audio/video calls.
3. An average of 43 minutes for listening to music.
4. Messaging either through messenger or Whatsapp activity takes an average of 41 minutes
5. They spend an average of 30 minutes for reading articles or news online.
Observing the survey findings, Amitayu Basu, CEO of Numr Research said that “This fiercely competitive market now has multiple products at every imaginable price point. In this environment, the NPS score helps in predicting who will win the war. With Oppo leading the way with 84% NPS score, world leaders like Samsung and Apple are left to lick their wounds in their ever decreasing market share pie.”
If you see closely and try to add up the timings then we can conclude a serious fact that on an average every person in India is spending daily three to five hours of their precious lifetime on Smartphones. Quite a number I guess.
