Redmi Note 7S: Design & Features

The company hasn’t revealed much about the device, but it’s going to be very similar to the current Redmi Note 7 series devices. On the out, Redmi Note 7S will come with the same design as Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. The glass sandwich design will be a part of the Redmi Note 7S device as well.

Coming to display, the company will be using the same dot notch full HD+ display for Redmi Note 7S.

The company is yet to confirm the processor, but it may run on the same chipset as Redmi Note 7, the Snapdragon 660 chip. The  announcement confirmed that the Redmi Note 7S will come with the 48MP camera.

Xiaomi is yet to name the sensor. So it could be either the Samsung GM1 48MP sensor, previously used in the Redmi Note 7 Chinese variant or the Sony IMX 586 48MP sensor used in Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Redmi Note 7S will come with a dual camera setup at the back panel. The smartphone will come with the same Redmi Note 7 series design including the other features as battery, OS, Type C port and storage configurations.

Assuming It: Why Suddenly Redmi Note 7S?

Redmi Note 7S can be a remodelled Chinese variant of Redmi Note 7. The Indian Redmi Note 7 doesn’t come with the 48MP sensor, while the Chinese model has it. The Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India comes with a 12MP primary shooter.

And Xiaomi India has been repeatedly emphasizing on the 48MP lens.

So, Redmi Note 7S in India could just be the Chinese Redmi Note 7 donning the Samsung 48MP GM1 sensor instead of the Sony 48MP IMX 586 sensor as the Note 7 Pro. Again, this is just an assumption.

Redmi Note 7S India Price: Redmi Note 7S Price In India

Coming to the Redmi Note 7S India price, the smartphone may cost another thousand bucks more than Redmi Note 7. The price may start at Rs 10,999 for the base model. The company will be placing it comfortably between the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro pricing categories.
