Flipkart’s Flipstart Days sale is happening between May 1st to May 3rd, and already there is quite a buzz about the same.
Upto 80% discount has been offered on electronics and fashion products, as Flipkart is aiming to dominate these two niches since long.
Special discounts on products such as laptops, speakers, smart wearables, and gaming consoles have been highlighted on the home page itself.
Special discount of 10% has been offered for Axis Bank users (debit and credit cards)
However, the biggest surprise has been the omission of smartphone deals in the sale from Flipkart: There is not even a single deal for smartphone, under the Flipstart Day sales days.
Upto 80% Discount On Electronics
It seems that Flipkart is aiming to dominate the competitive electronics market this time, instead of smartphones, and this is the reason upto 80% discount has been announced in this category.
Labeled as ‘Electronic Pay Day’ sale, Flipkart has announced a massive discount on laptops, headphones, mobile phone accessories, pen drives, hard disks and more.

80% Discount on Fashion Products
Besides electronics, Flipkart is focussing hard on fashion category, and have announced discounts upto 80%.
Clothing, footwear and fashion accessories are the target sub-categories here, and the deals start from as little as Rs 199 for some products.
Both men’s and women’s tops are being offered from Rs 199, along with goggles, footwear, backpacks and more.
If you observe the main category page for fashion products, then every deal starts with Rs 199, and some of them are branded products as well.
Flipkart is really aggresive on fashion category this time. Interestingly, there is no link of Myntra among the deals, and this means, that Flipkart aims to become a fashion powerhouse themselves, instead of piggybacking on Myntra’s consumer-base.
