OnePlus 7 Pro Price Breakdown: Super-smooth Display, 5G & More!

The much-touted Pro rumoured variant is no more a mere assumption. Now the company CEO has himself confirmed that a Pro variant of the upcoming OnePlus 7 exists, and it’s going to have top flagship features.

OnePlus will be launching two smartphones this year: OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.

While the former will come with the regular features like the current best Snapdragon chip and good cameras, OnePlus 7 Pro is going to fill in the bigger shoes.

The company aims to bring in a costly flagship this time challenging the likes of Galaxy S smartphones and iPhones.

CEO Pete Lau has promised that the new OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a whole new display technology, which has to be seen to be believed. Not only a super smooth display, OnePlus 7 Pro will also come with 5G support.

OnePlus 7 Pro: Charging The Super Flagship Segment

After reckoning the market for years in the entry-premium segment, the company now aims to challenge the likes of top-level flagships in the premium segment. While OnePlus 7 will come with the best of features as its predecessors, the Pro model will have a significantly better display and will feature 5G.

The presence of 5G hints at a higher price tag.

The new Pro flagship may not cost as high as Samsung Galaxy S10, Huawei P30 Pro or Apple iPhone XS, but is definitely going to be somewhere close to them.

Currently OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is the most costly OnePlus smartphone available at Rs 50,999 with 10GB RAM, 256GB storage and the much-improved Warp charging facility. The OnePlus 7 Pro is going to succeed the McLaren model, expected to be available at a much higher pricing.

OnePlus 7 Pro Will Come With A Better Display & 5G Support

OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will not be very different in nature. But the presence of certain better features like an awesome super-smooth display and support for 5G will push it into the premium flagship category. The other features are expected to remain same, though the camera may differ.

OnePlus has been trying to enter the top-end category for long, and a plus-one Pro model seems legit.

Coming back what CEO Lau said, the display may seem to go through a phenomenal upgrade as he quoted something which has to be seen to be believed. So, we believe it may come with a display generally seen on gaming-centric phones only.

It may have a 120Hz refresh rate like Asus ROG Phone to offer smooth displays with faster screen refresh rate. Conventional displays come with 60Hz refresh rate. Higher the rate of refresh, faster is the fluid animation.

The new OnePlus 7 Pro display is said to cost the company triple than the usual price of usual displays. Now with additional 5G support, it will rocket the pricing, expected to be equivalent to some of the current premium flagships.

OnePlus 7 Pro will come with several improvements in multiple departments including camera and other specs.

The additional upgradations and features will add up to the price. The Pro model is going to be super costly compared to the previous OnePlus smartphones. In India, the OnePlus 7 Pro model may cost somewhere around 70,000 rupees or even more.

The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro global launch is expected on May 14.
