The OnePlus Nord 2T is set to be launched in India on July 1.

Sale, availability

It will go on sale from July 5, 12 PM IST onwards.

It can be bought from Amazon, OnePlus.in, and OnePlus Stores.

The 2T is the first addition to the main Nord series after the launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 in July 2021.

It will replace its predecessor to become the company’s most premium smartphone in the Nord lineup.

Rumored updates

Upon launch, it will compete with the likes of Poco F4 5G, iQOO Neo 6 5G and other smartphones in the sub Rs 30,000 bracket.

Given that it has already been launched in Europe and Nepal, some information regarding specs is now with us. 

The 2T gets upgrades in two major departments – performance and fast charging.

Performance

It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, which comes with some minor improvements over the Dimensity 1200 SoC.

This helps offer a better gaming experience.

Fast charging

This is the second area of upgrade- support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging out of the box that debuted on the OnePlus 10 Pro.

The phone maker claims that the device’s 4500 mAh battery can charge from zero to 67 per cent in 15 minutes.

Screen

It retains other specifications from the Nord 2.

It sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

It has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Camera

There is a hole-punch cutout for the 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

At the rear, there is a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera with an equivalent focal length of 24mm and optical image stabilization.

Then there is an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP f/2.2 depth camera.

The device can record 4k video at 30fps and has HDR and panorama modes for still images.

Additional features

The Nord 2T 5G also comes with dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, etc.

It will be coming with Oxygen OS 12. (based on Android 12) out-of-the-box.

Price 

It is rumored to be sold with two storage options.

The base variant will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, to be priced at Rs 28,999.

The second is a 12GB RAM variant with 256GB of internal storage, to be priced at Rs 33,999.

There are two color options as well, Shadow Grey and Jade Fog.
