Huawei sub-brand has launched Honor 10 Lite in the country, starting at just Rs 13,999. The most competitive price segment in India has another solid competitor now. Backed by some top features and specs, Honor 10 Lite seems like a complete package at the price.

Realme 2 Pro has done extremely well in the segment.

While Honor has its own Honor 8X in the same price category, Honor 10 Lite will face some stiff competition from some of the top smartphones in the segment, like Mi A2, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Redmi Note 6 Pro.

Realme 2 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LCD display in an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Honor 10 Lite features a 6.21-inch Full HD+ display with a similar dewdrop notch. Both the smartphone offer an almost similar screen-to-body ratio with thin bezels.

Both the smartphones have large full-screen displays backed by water-drop notch paving way higher screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware

Honor 10 Lite packs in HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC coupled with GPU Turbo 2.0 technology. In comparison, Realme 2 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 660. Both the chips perform really well with no lags in terms of day to day tasks.

Both Kirin 710 and Snapdragon 660 are top-tier mid-range processors offering standard performance.

Honor 10 Lite runs on the latest EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. Realme 2 Pro on the other hand runs on Color OS 5.2 based on Android Oreo 8.1 UI. In terms of user experience, both Honor 10 Lite and Realme 2 Pro offer a different UI with respective bloatwares.

Both com with some minor tweaks and added features. Though, Android 9.0 Pie on Honor 10 Lite is an added advantage over the Oreo. Android 9.0 Pie update on Realme 2 Pro is expected by the end of Q1.

Both use AI for color correction and better pictures. In terms of contrast, Realme 2 Pro will stay ahead. Also the detailing is better. The low light photography and overall imaging capabilities are a tad better than Honor 10 Lite.

Up front, Honor 10 Lite has a 24-megapixel f/2.0 aperture sensor. On the other hand, Realme 2 Pro has a 16 megapixel selfie shooter. Both the smartphones perform well in good lighting.

Honor 10 Lite does bring in some competition for Reame 2 Pro. Both the smartphones excel in display, performance and overall capabilities. Realme 2 Pro will still dominate in the camera section, but Honor 10 Lite too brings in a solid package.

Honor 10 Lite packs in the latest Android 9 Pie, a lot of new features and added customisations.

Still, if put head to head, both will end very close to each other. The camera will help Realme 2 Pro stay a notch higher.
