Some reports are indicating that this offer is for all users, while some reports claim that only few ‘selected’ users will be grated this extra 2 GB data.

None the less, this extra 2GB will be filed under ‘Jio Celebrations Pack’.

This is how you can check whether this surprise data offer is available for you or not:

Jio Is Losing Out To Airtel/Vodafone In Metros?

As per a report by ICICI Securities, it has been revealed that while Jio is becoming stronger in rural areas, it is losing out to Airtel and Vodafone.

The report analyses Revenue Market Share or RMS of Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea vis-a-vis rural and urban areas.

Overall, Jio has shown strong positive movement in RMS, while Vodafone has shown negative movement. Airtel’s RMS has remained more or less flat.

As per the report, Airtel has made a strong improvement in revenues generating from urban locations in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, Maharashtra and Gujarat. This has resulted in 17.6% and 5% on-quarter growth in adjusted gross revenue (AGR)  for Airtel and Vodafone respectively.

At the same time, Jio has experienced RMS loss in Delhi (113 basis points) and Kolkata (752 basis points)

Brokerage firm UBM has backed this report, as it said that RMS of Jio in these urban locations has dropped to 24.9% in the September quarter from 26.3% in the April-June period.

At the same time, RMS of Jio has increased substantially in rural areas, which means that overall, Jio has maintained strong growth in RMS of 375 bps on-quarter to over 26% at the end of September.
