While Bengaluru citizens will be able to enjoy free WiFi, everywhere; as per reports coming in, 100 Gbps Internet speed will soon become a norm in India.

100 Gbps Internet Speed For All Indians?

Recently, during an event, ISRO Chairman K Sivan revealed that very soon, every Indian will be able to surf the Internet at blazing fast speed of 100 Gbps.

Or in other words, 100 Gbps Internet speed will become a norm in India!

If this happens, then in a minute, 6 movies would be downloaded, and this can change everything for Digital India.

How Will 100 Gbps Speed Become A Norm?

As per Sivan, three important satellites would be launched by ISRO by 2019 end: GSAT-11 and GSAT-29 and early next year, GSAT-20.

GSAT-19 has been already launched.

As per Siva, GSAT-19, GSTA-20, GSAT-11 and GSAT-29 can collectively provide a throughput of more than 100 Gbps bandwidth, which can change the face of the Internet in India.

Besides, Rs 10,500 crore has already been allocated by Indian Govt. for launching 30 PSLVs and 10 GSLV Mk-3 in the next 5 years, which will further boost digital infrastructure of India.

Free Wifi In Bengaluru?

Meanwhile, Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India has started rolling out free WiFi across its city.

As per Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, all 198 wards of Bengaluru will receive free Internet in the next 6 months.

Yesterday, under the same initiative, free WiFi was launched in Govindaraja Nagar, where Jio is providing free WiFi for all, within 3 kms radius.

How does will Free WiFi work?

The ‘free’ part will be for 30 minutes, after which the user will have to pay a rental, as per tariff finalized by TRAI.

Just like RailWire WiFi service, the users will be asked to enter their phone number to receive an OTP. Once the OTP has been entered, the 30 minutes free WiFi will start.

As per reports coming in, 4 ISPs including Jio are pitching for their services for offering free WiFi on a pilot basis.

Cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and others have already received free WiFi services, thanks to corporate sponsorships.

All colleges are already providing free WiFi, as per Govt. order.

Google and RailWire’s free WiFi at Railway Stations is already a  big hit.
