Vivo X20 Plus UD – First Smartphone With An Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor!
After showcasing the first working and commercially viable under-display fingerprint scanner, Vivo is now ready to launch the X20 Plus UD in China.
Last week Vivo had showcased the world’s first working under-display fingerprint sensor at the CES 2018. Vivo will incorporate the same in the X20 Plus model from last year and will launch it as the Vivo X20 Plus UD. This smartphone is going to be the first in the world to feature the under-display fingerprint scanner.
Recently, a new listing of a Vivo smartphone with model number Vivo X20 Plus UD was spotted on TENAA. Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially confirmed that it will unveil the Vivo X20 Plus UD with an under-display fingerprint scanner on 24th January.
Vivo X20 Plus UD – Specifications & Features
The Vivo X20 Plus UD will not be very different from the regular X20 Plus. The primary difference is going to be the presence of an under-display fingerprint sensor on the X20 Plus UD.

Vivo X20 Plus UD – Will It Launch In India?
The TENAA listing has confirmed that the X20 Plus UD will carry similar hardware specifications as the X20 Plus. But it will be sans the fingerprint sensor at the back and X20 UD will slightly differ in terms of dimensions as well.
The chances of Vivo X20 Plus UD coming to India are not good as Vivo hasn’t launched any of its flagship X-series models in India till now. But India is an important market for Vivo and might launch their first flagship X model in the country, since the X20 Plus UD is the first first smartphone in the world with a under-display fingerprint sensor.
