Vivo X20 X20 Plus Launched

Vivo have launched two new camera-oriented smartphones, Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus. Both are a part of their X-series lineup, and these flagships will feature an 18:9 aspect ratio and bezel-less display with a dual camera setup at the back. Both the phones has been officially unveiled in China today, and their design is quite similar to the recently launched Vivo V7 Plus in India.

The new Vivo X20 and X20 Plus will sport two rear cameras as a part of the dual rear camera setup with Vivo’s FullView bezel-less display (with 18:9 screen-body aspect ratio). Both the flagships will come with a special Face Wake Facial Recognition Technology for unlocking.

Vivo X20 And Vivo X20 Plus – Specifications and Features

Vivo X20 Plus packs in an almost similar list of features as Vivo X20, but comes with a larger 6.43” Super AMOLED display.

Design

Both the smartphones will sport a unibody design, built out of metal with slight curves on the out which gives a nice grip to hold. Both the device will come with a rear facing fingerprint sensor.

Display

The X20 will come with a 6.01” Super AMOLED display, while the Vivo X20 Plus will sport a slightly larger 6.43” Super AMOLED display. Both the displays will come with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution.

Special Bezel Less Corners

Both the devices will come with 18:9 screen-body aspect ratio bezel less displays. Vivo X20 Plus and X20 will offer up to 85.3% and 86.11% screen to body aspect ratio respectively.

Hardware

The devices will be powered by the 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa core processor under the hood, which uses the custom Kryo 260 cores clocked up to 2.2GHz clubbed with Adreno 512 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

Software

The smartphones will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with Nougat based customized FunTouch OS 3.2 on top.

Internal Storage

Both Vivo X20 Plus and X20 will be available in two storage options – 64GB and 128GB. There is an option for an external memory card, which can be used for further expansion of storage.

Camera

Both the phones will sport a rear dual camera setup. The dual setup module will feature a primary f/1.8 12MP shooter and a 5MP secondary shooter. Up front, there is a 12 MP f/2.0 dual-pixel (24MP) shooter for selfies and video calling. Additionally, both the rear cameras on the Vivo X20 Plus feature optical image stabilisation (OIS), which the X20 lacks.

SIM Support And Connectivity

Both X20 and X20 Plus will support two SIMs with dual SIM dual standby, and will offer all other connectivity options along with 4G VoLTE support.

Battery

The X20 Plus will sport a larger 3,905 mAh battery, while the X20 will sport a 3,245 mAh battery.

Variants And Price

Both, Vivo X20 Plus and X20, will be available in gold, rose gold, and black colour options. X20 – 64GB has been priced at CNY 2,998 (around Rs. 30,000) while the larger X20 Plus – 64GB has been priced at CNY 3,498 (around Rs. 35,000).
