100% Placement For All MBA Graduates At This IIM; Rs 32 Lakh Average Salary
IIM Calcutta has witnessed a 100% placement for its students from the 57th batch of their management institute.- Around 465 students participated in the placement procedure and more than 600 offers were made to them.
- The median salary package received by students based on the job offers stands at Rs. 31 Lakhs per annum.
- Many new recruiters such as IIFL, Zomato, Nykaa, Microsoft, PayTM, Flipkart, Amazon were a part of IIM Calcutta’s placement process.
Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, IIM Calcutta has witnessed a 100% placement for its students from the 57th batch of their management institute. According to the official statements issued by IIM Calcutta, the average salary package of the students was around Rs. 34.2 lakhs per annum.
Over 190 firms participated in the virtual placement process which was held last week with more than 600 offers were made to students. From the 57th batch of IIM Calcutta, approximately 465 students participated in the placement procedure.
Median salary
The median salary package received by students based on the job offers stands at Rs. 31 Lakhs per annum. IIM Calcutta followed a ‘cluster-based system’. In this system the participating firms were mapped according to specific fields and then further mapped in their respective clusters.
“I congratulate the students on their satisfying placement that speaks volumes of their capabilities. Profuse thanks to the recruiters for having recognized their talents. My appreciation to the Placement Committee for their superb performance,” said the Director of IIM Calcutta, Professor Uttam Kumar Sarkar.
Who were the recruiters?
Many new recruiters such as IIFL, Zomato, Nykaa, Microsoft, PayTM, Flipkart, Amazon were a part of IIM Calcutta’s placement process this year. In the consultancy cluster, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, EY Parthenon and McKinsey & Company, recorded a high number of placements.
Goldman Sachs recruited the highest number of students out of the 18% offers made in the marquee asset management, investment banking, and private equity-venture capital cluster. In the general management and marketing field, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Nestle, Procter & Gamble and Tata Administrative Services were notable recruiters out of the 14% of offers made.
