Realme’s Next Flagship Smartphone Will Have Heart Rate Sensor! How Will It Work? Full Details Of Realme 9 Pro+
After the launch of the Realme 9i last month, the expansion of the series with the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ are on their way as well.

Launch
They will arrive in Europe on February 15 and a day later in India but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
However, Madhav Sheth – VP of Realme and President of Realme International Business Group did share an upcoming feature of the Pro+ on Twitter.
He tweeted that the phone will feature a heart rate sensor to measure the pulse- a first on any Realme smartphone.
How It Works
He also shared a video which shows the phone using its in-display fingerprint scanner to measure the heart rate.
The user has to open the heart rate measurement tool and keep their finger pressed on the fingerprint sensor till the screen shows a reading.
The phone records heart rate readings into the Health section of Realme Link app.
Screen Revealed
It is however not clear if the feature will be available only on Realme 9 Pro+ or also on the vanilla Realme 9 Pro.
The company advises against using this as a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis.
The reveal of the in-display fingerprint reader confirms that the phone will come with an AMOLED screen.
It will have a punch hole in the top-left corner for the selfie camera.
Processor, Battery, OS
The 9 Pro+ will be powered by the 5G MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC and will be the first handset to come with this chip in Europe.
It is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
The handset will also likely run Android 12 out of the box.
Network features include 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port.
Camera
It is equipped with a 16MP front selfie camera.
The rear 50MP primary sensor is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor in a triple rear camera setup.
The rear camera system is fitted with a flagship Sony sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
Pricing
The 9 Pro will start at Rs 16,999.
The 9 Pro+ will come with two RAM and storage options.
The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage may be offered for Rs 20,999.
However, the price of the 8GB + 128GB variant is not out yet.
