These students mostly come from top business schools such as:
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode
- IIM Indore
- Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi

The Figures
XLRI and IIM Lucknow students received stipends of Rs 6.8 lakh for two months.
This is a hike of 35% from Rs 5 lakh offered last year.
The highest stipend at IIM Kozhikode jumped 17% to Rs 3.74 lakh from Rs 3 lakh last year.
FMS Delhi saw a jump of 67% to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 3 lakh last year.
IIM Indore’s highest stipend jumped to Rs 4 lakh from Rs 3.2 lakh last year.
The highest stipend offered to students of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, was Rs 4 lakh.
Goa Institute of Management students were offered top stipend of Rs 2 lakh which was 22% higher than Rs 1.64 lakh offered last year.

Sectors
Consulting and BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) companies offered the most number of offers for summer internships.
Fast-moving consumer goods/durables (FMCG/ FMCD), e-commerce and IT were the next to dole out a high number of offers.
