In a big, positive move that will benefit thousands of passengers, Delhi Metro has now rolled out free WiFi for all, on a specific route.

Free WiFi On Yellow Line

Starting Monday, Delhi Metro has announced absolutely free WiFi on the Yellow Line of the metro.

This is line #2, which goes from HUDA City Centre to Samaypur Badli, and back.

Total of 37 metro stations are on this important line, that includes Chandni Chowk, New Delhi Railway stations, Old Delhi Railway Station, the entire stretch of Gurgaon and more.

Besides, this line also covers Delhi University area, and this free WiFi will prove to be beneficial for all the students who travel daily to the University campus.

As per reports coming in, around 330 access points have been installed across these 37 metro stations for smooth delivery of free Wifi.

It would be interesting to observe how Delhi Metro delivers this free WiFi service, since most of the stations are underground in this route.

How To Access Free WiFi On Delhi Metro

Here’s step by step process to access free WiFi on YellowLine of Delhi Metro:

Step 1: Search for WiFi network named “OUI DMRC FREE Wi-Fi””

Step 2: Enter phone number and get the OTP

Step 3: Enter the OTP, and start accessing free WiFi.

Note here, that Delhi Metro already provides free WiFi on the Blue Line, and Airport Express line.

With Yellow Line also under free WiFi scheme, there are now a total of 94 metro stations where Free WiFi is being offered by Delhi Metro.

This free WiFi service is being provided by a consortium of IT firms, led by M/S Techno Sat Comm.
