The new Creta set to launch later next year has been spotted on test drives.

The top-selling SUV in India will be receiving a facelift modeled after the new-gen Tucson.

Appearance And Exterior Features

The new Creta’s outward appearance will possess elements of Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language.

Much like the Tucson, the new Creta comes with a new fog lamp assembly, revised bumper design and faux skid plate. 

It has a muscular hood along with a lower central air dam, LED DRLs and headlamp cluster in a dark finish.

Other exterior features include new alloy wheel design and split tail lamps.

Side Profile

The car is surrounded on the sides by roof rails, B-pillars, ORVMs, and designer alloy wheels.

Rear

The back of the car is fitted with split tail lamps, a shark-fin antenna, and a window wiper.

Interiors

There aren’t a lot of changes inside the 5-seater cabin.

It comes with a 7.0-inch instrument cluster and becomes more feature-rich with the addition of a HUD head up unit.

Powertrain

The Creta is offered with 3 engine variants- two petrol and one engine.

Petrol Engines-

  • 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 hp power and 144 Nm torque
  • 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 140 hp power and 242 Nm torque

Single Diesel Engine-

1.5 liter turbocharged diesel engine which offers 115 hp power and 250 Nm torque.

Transmission

Transmission options comprise a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The turbocharged petrol engine will be mated to a 7-speed DCT.

Pricing 

There is no word yet on the price since it will be revealed upon launch. There are high chances that it will receive a hike from the going rate of Rs. 9.99 lakh.
