Here are some features we can expect.

Contents

Exterior

The new Baleno will get a complete makeover with new headlamps and tail lamps, bumpers, alloy wheels and a new front grille.

The car will also come in different color variants, but will likely retain the signature Nexa Blue color which lends it a certain distinctness.

There likely won’t be any changes to its dimensions.

Interior

The interiors are also set to undergo a change with a new dashboard layout, seating and upholstery and a new multifunction steering wheel.

Other modern features include a floating touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, fast charging ports and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Another significant update includes a sunroof and cruise control.

The sunroof feature is a first for a Maruti product.

Engine auto start stop and new hybrid technology can also be expected.

Convenience And Safety Features

Wireless charging,  4 airbags and hill holder feature are fitted to provide safety and convenience to passengers.

A hill hold is a sensor which detects the vehicle’s tilt when stopped on a slope.

It then signals the brake hardware to keep the wheels clamped for a few seconds after the brake pedal is released by the driver.

Engine Options

The new Baleno will feature the RS badge which is also known as rally or racing sport.

This means that the car will sport features conducive to racing ability.

With the RS badge, Maruti will also bring back its Boosterjet engine which enjoys popularity in the market.

Diesel engine variants will also be offered along with hybrid engine that could improve mileage.

Pricing

Presently the Baleno’s price ranges between Rs 6.94 Lakh to Rs 10.70 Lakh.

With the new-gen update, the price could be hiked by Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000.
