Tata Nexon

Tata Nexon has received a four-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests and later it also scored. This is a sub-4m SUV and has created a benchmark where safety is concerned. The car comes with a BS6 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine rated at 120 PS/170 Nm, and a 1.5-liter oil burner producing 110 PS and 260 Nm. It has been priced by Tata between the range of Rs 7.19 – 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Tata Tiago 

The Tata Tiago is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder 8 aspirated petrol engine that puts out 86 PS of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is also paired with  either a 5-speed manual, or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. This hatchback by Tata is best known for its build, safety, powertrain and features.

Mahindra XUV500

This mid-size SUV by Mahindra was launched in 2011 and emerged a winner among many contemporaries. A new version of the car is on its way to the Indian automobile market later this year. A prototype of the same has been sited with a floating touchscreen infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, flat-bottom steering wheel, ADAS based features and flush-type door handles.

Tata Harrier

The Tata Harrier is an SUV powered by a sole 2.0-litre Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine that belts out 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This car is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 110.1 PS of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque, along with a 1.5-litre diesel motor rated at 116.6 PS/300 Nm. the engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard with both the powertrains, while the diesel gets an optional 6-speed AMT too. The base price of the car is Rs. 7.95 lakh.
