IT jobs hiring will increase in the second part of the financial year. IT majors Infosys, TCS, HCL, Wipro and all other top IT companies will hire a lot of freshers in the coming months.

There will be an addition of over 14,000 jobs in the next quarter.

According to the industry experts, the Indian IT industry is experiencing a potential V-shaped recovery. The major IT companies will soon start to onboard freshers and increase recruitment. Apart from announcing plans for hiring freshers in a, four IT giants have also confirmed salary hikes for existing employees.

4 Companies Announce Salary Hikes: TCS, Infosys, HCL, Mindtree

Salary hikes for TCS, Infosys, HCL and Mindtree have been announced. Amid the slowing economy, IT companies have been one of the only few who have experienced steady growth and earnings.

TCS Salary Hike

TCS salary hike is now effective starting October 1. TCS’ consolidated headcount currently stands at 453,540 as of September 30, 2020.

HCL Salary Hike

HCL salary hikes will be rolled out up to E3 level. Increments are now effective starting October. Salary hike for E4 level will be effective from January 1, 2021.

Infosys Salary Hike

Infosys salary hike and promotions across all levels will be effective January 1, 2021. The second largest Indian IT major will also be giving out 100 percent variable pay with a special incentive for Q2.

Mindtree Salary Hike

Mindtree salary hike will be effective from January 1, 2021. Mindtree employee count stands at 21,827 employees at the end of the second quarter ended June-September.

Infosys Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

Compared to the decline of 3,138 employees in Q1, Infosys’ net employee hiring increased by 975 in Q2. Infosys vacancies are expected to grow in the coming quarters. The company reported a revenue of Rs 24,570 crore, which is a growth of 3.8 percent QoQ and 8.6 percent YoY. 

TCS Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

TCS recorded a net addition of 9,864 associates in the second quarter compared to the earlier decline of 4,788 in the first quarter when the pandemic exposure was at its peak. In Q2, TCS recorded a revenue of Rs 40,135 crore, which is up by 4.7 per cent QoQ and higher by 3 per cent YoY.

Wipro Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

High Wipro vacancies are expected given the speedy growth. They have added 3,439 associates (net), where 3,000 freshers, in Q2 as against a decline of 1,082 in Q1. Wipro is not far behind with recorded Rs 15,115 crore in revenue, up 1.4 percent sequentially and with a marginal decrease of 0.1 percent YoY.

HCL Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

HCL vacancies currently stand at 9,000 freshers. HCL Tech will hire close to 9000 freshers in the next six months. Also, all the 1.5 lakh HCL employees will receive a salary hike. HCL will hire 9,000 freshers between the period October 2020 and March 2021.

MindTree Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

Mindtree vacancies are yet to be announced. MD & CEO Debashis Chatterjee said the company completed its promotion cycle in the quarter ended September 30. Mindtree salary hikes effective from January 1, 2020. 

OLA Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

Ola to hire 1,000 engineers to set up a new tech centre in Pune. Ola plans to set up a new technology centre in Pune and will hire about 1,000 engineers over the next few years. It’s the second OLA tech centre for the company in India after Bengaluru.

Ola currently has over 4,000 employees with around 1,500 in the engineering department.

Uber Job Vacancy: IT Job Vacancies

Ola’s rival Uber also plans to hire. Uber India hiring may soon start with 85 engineers in India in addition to more 140 engineers in the country. Uber India is strengthening the tech capabilities to position India as a technology hub, building and innovating for the world.
