Tata Consultancy Services has now set up as much as 11 COVID-19 isolation centres in various cities. These centres will be offering medical care to the employees and their associates of TCS.

Tata Consultancy Services To Set Up Isolation Centres In 11 Cities For Associates And Dependents

11 first line COVID-19 isolation centres have been set up by India’s largest IT services provider. These centres have been set up in major cities like Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Indore and Nagpur.

As per an email sent to the employees by TCS, these centres will offer medical support to their associates and their dependents. This includes the associates’ spouse, children and parents /parents-in-law who are asymptomatic or even mildly positive with the coronavirus disease and with no other co-morbidities or medical history/complications.

In a statement, the company has said, “Amidst the tumult of the last few months, our priority has always been to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees. TCS Health Centres in our campuses will provide isolation, comfort and treatment by the health professionals to our employees and their dependents, who are asymptomatic or have mild (COVID-19) symptoms.”

TCS Joins Hands With Multiple Entities To Offer Hospitality Suport At 11 Centres

The company has collaborated with numerous entities to offer such medical and hospitality support at these 11 isolation centres. There will be about 20-25 beds in each of the centre. 

TCS (Tata Sons and Tata Trusts) has reportedly pledged INR 1500 crores (more than US$ 200 million) to facilitate the protection and empowerment of all the communities that have been affected by the COVID-19 disease.

The company also implemented some initiatives that would help the society such as COVID-19 patient tracker, creating a quick and light platform for clinical trials systems to rapidly collate effectiveness data in collaboration with pharma and medical institutions, drug molecule discovery using our patented technology and frameworks and exploring promising ideas for affordable and effective ventilators and kits.
