PUBG Can Return In India! PUBG Owners Ditch China’s Tencent For Indian Operations

Ever since PUBG Mobile was banned by Indian Govt., game lovers were devastated. PUBG is one of most of the popular games in the world, and in India, there are 5 crore downloads of PUBG Mobile, which was banned.

Now, there is some good news coming in.

PUBG Corporation, which are the owners of PUBG game have decided to cut their ties with Tencent, which were the publishers of the game in India.

This brings hope that soon, PUBG will return in India.

PUBG Owners Cut Ties With China’s Tencent

In a big move, PUBG Corporation, who are the actual owners of the game globally, have decided to ditch Tencent, which managed publishing in India.

Tencent is China based, and it was this association with Tencent which was one of the reasons why PUBG was banned in India.

In a statement, PUBG Corporation said, “It hopes to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution that will allow gamers to once again drop into the battlegrounds while being fully compliant with Indian laws and regulations.”

This clearly showcases that PUBG Corporation is trying hard, very hard to bring back the game to India, and let Indian gamers enjoy their massive gaming platform.

What’s China’s Link To PUBG?

The multiplayer game: PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) is owned and maintained by South Korean gaming giant PUBG Corporation.

Now, Tencent has developed the mobile version of PUBG, which can be played on mobiles, and is completely free.

And in India, Tencent published and distributed the mobile version.

When Govt banned PUBG, only the mobile version was banned, and the desktop/console version was still available, since Tencent had no link with non-mobile version.

But now, since PUBG Corporation has disassociated themselves from Tencent, gamers are expecting that PUBG Mobile will return to India.

We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
