Here’s the list of the expected upcoming smartphones in September 2020 in India.

Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro

Realme 7 series will be unveiled in India on September 3. Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro will be available in India via Flipkart. Realme 7 is found with MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC, paired with 8GB RAM. Realme RMX2121 or Realme 7 Pro has been found to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset paired with 8GB RAM. Realme 7 series will come with 120Hz refresh rated flexible AMOLED displays manufactured by Samsung and 5G connectivity.

Leaked Realme 7 Pro specs reveal a 6.55-inch Samsung AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 2.6GHz octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors. Both the Realme phones will come with 65W fast charging support.

Realme 7 will come with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a hole-punch design, Dimensity 720 with up to 8GB of RAM and a quad rear camera setup. Realme 7 smartphone will include a 64-megapixel primary sensor inside the quad camera system and a 32-megapixel selfie camera upfront.

Asus Zenfone 7, Zenfone 7 Pro (Asus 7Z, Asus 7Z Pro)

Asus ZenFone 7, ZenFone 7 Pro has been unveiled internationally. In India, the devices may come as Asus 7Z and Asus 7Z Pro. Coming to specs, the standard ZenFone 7 sports a 6.67-inch FullHD+ offering 2400 × 1080 resolution. It’s a HDR+ AMOLED display in an aspect ratio of 20:9 and 90Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support. Asus ZenFone 7 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Plus 865 chipset paired with Adreno 650 GPU.  Asus Zenfone 7 comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. 

In comparison, ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED offering 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Asus ZenFone 7 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC paired, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The rest of the specifications for both ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro are similar including the cameras, battery and other specs.

Both the Zenfone 7 models have a motorized triple camera setup. The triple camera setup includes a 64MP wide-angle Sony IMX686 sensor, a 12MP Sony IMX363 ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telescope lens with 3x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom along with an LED flash. The ZenFone 7 models house a sizable 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. 

Oppo F17, Oppo F17 Pro

The Oppo F17 series will launch in India on September 2. The company has officially confirmed that the upcoming Oppo F17 series will go official in the country in September. The upcoming Oppo phones in India will come with top-end features on-board running on mid-range chips. The F17 series by Oppo will include two phones: Oppo F17 and Oppo F17 Pro models. The Pro model will be packing in the best of the features with a better camera and processor.

Oppo F17 and Oppo F17 Pro price has already been leaked. Oppo F17 price for each model is said to come under Rs 25,000. The company will target the sub-18,000 and sub-24,000 segment in the Indian market with Oppo F17 and Oppo F17 Pro respectively.

Oppo F17 will be a mid-range smartphone while Oppo F17 Pro is said to be taking on the newly launched OnePlus Nord and Realme X3. Oppo has confirmed that the Oppo 17 Pro will come with a 48MP quad-camera setup and 16MP Dual Depth selfie camera system. The standard OPPO F17 will launch with a 6.44-inch Full HD+ sAMOLED display, Snapdragon 662 chipset, 16MP quad-camera setup and 30W fast charging support.

Poco X3

Poco X3 India launch is on September 8. Poco X3 will be the world’s first smartphone to come with Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 732G SoC. The device will include a 64MP quad-camera, 5,160mAh battery, 33W fast charging and a 6.6-inch LCD panel with 120Hz refresh rate. It has been officially confirmed that Poco X3 will come with a 64MP main camera sensor, expected to be the Sony IMX686 64MP unit. Also the Poco X3 battery can be charged fully in 65 minutes, meaning the device will ship with a 33W charger.

The Poco FCC listing also revealed the rear design. There’s a huge POCO branding as well at the bottom. Poco X3 price in India will probably start somewhere around Rs 17,000 for the base model. Xiaomi will unveil multiple Poco X3 variants with different storage versions. Poco X3 Flipkart availability can also be pre-confirmed given the brand’s tie with Flipkart since Poco F1.

Moto E7

Motorola may launch Moto E7 in India in September. Officially yet to be confirmed, the company is said to be planning to launch a new budget-focused device under Rs 10,000 and Moto E7 could be it. FCC listing previously revealed Moto E7 will have a 5,000 mAh battery, and a TUV Rheinland certification also confirmed that the Motorola phone will have a 10W charger in the box. There will be two models with upto 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Moto E7 will either run with entry level Snapdragon 460 or mid-budget Snapdragon 632. Moto E7 display would be around 6.2 -inch HD+ display offering a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. Both Moto E7 and Moto E7 Plus may come to India as well, but the company will probably now focus on the budget category. The Motorola E7 models have leaked from time to time. 

Mi Note 10 Lite / Mi 10i

Mi Note 10 Lite may launch in India as Mi 10i. Yes, that’s what the recent leak says. Mi Note 10 Lite India launch is expected in September. Tipped by XDA, it has been found that Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone especially for the Indian market with the codename “tocoin”. The device has been spotted in the June 2020 code, hence Mi 10i India launch could be imminent. Mi Note 10 Lite was unveiled in China in late April alongside Redmi Note 9. The company unveiled the latter recently, and now it’s time for Mi 10i. 

Mi Note 10 Lite is a camera-centric value-for-money device offering a 64MP quad-camera setup backed by premium features. Mi Note 10 Lite in India will be rebranded as Mi 10i. The company will place Mi 10i as a spiritual successor to the Redmi K20 in the sub-20,000 segment.

Mi A4

Mi A4 launch could be happening soon, probably in September or October. Mi CC10 series is in the works, and the upcoming CC10 device will probably be remodelled as Mi A4 in India. The device is said to be launching as early as next month in China, as it will succeed the Xiaomi Mi CC9 series. Mi CC9 in India was unveiled as a remodelled Mi A3, and the upcoming Mi A4 is expected to be remodelled Mi CC10 for India. Mi A4 India launch will happen before the fall.

Mi A4 concept renders leaked early this year as well and some key details were leaked about the upcoming Xiaomi Android One smartphone. The recent leak about the upcoming Mi A4 sheds more log har about the camera setup and hardware.

Poco C3

Poco C3 will come as a rebranded Redmi 9C under 10,000 in India. Poco C3 launch will happen in September, expected alongside Poco C3 or a few days later. Redmi 9C as a new rebranded Poco C3 has already been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and TÜV Rheinland, Bluetooth SIG certification confirms the device will be called Poco C3. Xiaomi recently unveiled Redmi 9C at the Global Ecosystem Product Event. The device was first launched in Malaysia.

As spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and TÜV Rheinland, the upcoming Poco C3 is seen with model number M2006C3MI, the same model number as Redmi 9C. It was just unveiled globally by Xiaomi in Europe at the Global Ecosystem Product Event.

Google Pixel 4a

Pixel 4a India launch is expected in September. The device is already available in the US, and Pixel 4a India sale date may be announced soon. Pixel 4a price in India is expected at Rs 29,999. The device features a 5.81-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a punch-hole. The device has a punch-hole display with the hole at the top right corner with a slight chin down under. Pixel 4a is powered by the mid-range Qualcomm chip, Snapdragon 730 SoC. The device has a fingerprint sensor at the back with the camera on the top left featuring a square bump.

At the back, the Google midrange smartphone features a single camera at the back, a 12.2-megapixel rear shooter. There’s an 8-megapixel front-facing camera upfront. Pixel 4a packs in 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The Pixel device houses a standard 3,080mAh battery under the hood with 18W fast charging support.

Redmi 9A / Redmi 9i

Redmi 9A India launch will happen on September 3. Part of the Redmi 9 Prime series, the upcoming Xiaomi phone will be targeting the entry-level segment. Redmi 9A launched globally with a 6.53-inch HD+ (1600×720) LCD display with a water drop notch. Redmi 9A will be powered by 2GHz MediaTek Helio G25 chipset. The company aims to deliver a powerful gaming experience equipped with HyperEngine technology and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The chip will pair with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Redmi 9A has a vertical camera module at the back with a single 13MP camera sensor. Upfront Redmi 9A has a 5MP selfie camera up front and a triple card slot for dual SIM cards. Redmi 9A houses a 5,000mAh battery running on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.

Realme X3 Pro

The company CEO Madhav Sheth teased a “big announcement” at the upcoming IFA 2020, expected to be Realme X3 Pro. The company recently announced the 125W UltraDART fast charging technology, and Realme X3 Pro could become the first device to come with the latest charging solution. The device may feature the upcoming 108MP camera sensor from Samsung, the HM2 108MP lens as their primary sensor. Realme X3 Pro will replace Realme X2 Pro in the entry-premium category.

Realme X3 Pro will have Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus powering it with support for 65W Dark super fast charging technology. As the X3 series, the Realme X3 Pro series may have two variants as well. Realme X3 Pro BIS certification has been confirmed as well, so the launch won’t take much time. 

Galaxy M51

Galaxy M51 is all set to launch in September in India. The key specifications have already been leaked. Samsung Galaxy M51 will ship with a Snapdragon processor, Android 10 OS and 8GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy M51 will come with a 6.5-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display from CSOT with Infinity-O punch-hole cutout. The device will feature a punch-hole upfront for the selfie camera packing in slim bezels on the corners with a thin bottom.

In terms of optics, Galaxy M51 will feature a quad-camera system at the back sporting a 64MP primary shooter, a 12MP secondary lens alongside a depth and macro shooter. Samsung Galaxy M51 will come with a humongous 7,000mAh battery with fast-charging support (15W expected) and 128GB expandable storage.

Poco F2 Pro / Poco X2 Pro

Poco F2 Pro has been officially unveiled in Europe, expected in India in a few weeks. Redmi K30 Pro 4G is a remodelled Poco F2 Pro. Poco F2 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with refresh rate of 60Hz. The Poco device is said to be powered by Snapdragon 865 with up to 8GB RAM and 256 storage. Poco F2 Pro has been priced at EUR 499 (around Rs 41,500) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Coming to optics, Poco F2 Pro will have a 20-megapixel pop-up camera and a quad rear camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary lens. It will house a 4,700mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
