Here are all the details!

DGCA Bans International Flights Till August 31

Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that all international flights to India, and from India will be banned, till August 31st.

Earlier, these international flights were banned till July 31st, which has been now extended to August 31st.

The official statement from DGCA said, “The Government has decided to extend the suspension on the Scheduled International Commercial Passenger Services to/from India up to 2359 hours IST of 31st August.”

This ban will not be followed for cargo flights, which are allowed, and the special international flights under the air bubble arrangements.

The statement further said, “However, this restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA,”

Only These International Flights Will Be Allowed

Besides the cargo flights, all international flights under the special air bubbles between India and other nations will be allowed.

Govt has already approved more than 2500 repatriation flights to bring back stranded Indians across the borders, and these flights will be allowed to be operated.

As of now, special air bubbles have been formulated between India and US, UK, Germany and France, and besides Air India, private airlines from India and these nations have been allowed to fly.

In India, SpiceJet is the only private carrier to be allowed to fly to the US, under the special air bubble.

Domestic flights have been resumed since May 25th, after two months of ban on all flights. However, only limited flights are being operated as of now domestically, with a cap on the total number passengers, and the fare.
