The world probably hasn’t seen a deadlier risk than Coronavirus. There have been rumours of all sorts about what can kill the virus, one of which is that the weather here in India won’t tolerate the virus for much longer as the temperatures here go quite high. Doctors have also suggested that the weather does not have much to do with the spreading of the virus.

However, some top health experts have argued that the existing weather in Delhi and NCR is conducive and might promote the spread of the virus.

Moreover, there are reports that suggest 15 million people might lose their lives and the global economy will take a $2.3 trillion hit, and this is only in the best-case scenario.

Coronavirus Likely To Spread In Areas With Higher Temperatures

Coronavirus has entered the country, and the number of people it has infected is has gone up to 31, including tourists, a Paytm employee and many others.

There are two things that are not favourable for this virus, which are sunlight and temperature that goes above 26-27 degree celsius.

Dr Rajesh Chawla, Senior Consultant, Respiratory and Critical Care, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, said, “The environment plays an important role in determining the survivability and spreadability of the virus. Coronavirus tend to grow more in low temperature and humidity.”

Chawla also said that the threat of the virus spreading in the southern parts of India is lesser than it spreading in the northern parts of India.

Death Toll To Go Up To 15 Million; GDP To Fall Down By $2.3 Trillion

A new study, conducted by the Australian National University, has revealed that the death toll by Coronavirus might go up to 15 million people, and this is the best-case scenario. It also reveals that the GDP could go down by as much as $2.3 million.

The global death rate has risen to about 3.4%. Researchers said, “These estimated deaths from COVID-19 can be compared to a regular influenza season in the United States, where around 55,000 people die each year.”

There is a possibility that the economies of some countries might fall by 8% in a global meltdown.

The disease might claim the lives of 68 million people, including hundreds of thousands of people in Britain and the United States. In India and China would each lose millions of people, as suggested by the report.
