Reliance Jio Users Will Pay 40% More From December 6th; But Expect 300% More Benefits!
December 1st, 2019 would be remembered as the day when the entire telecom sector witnessed a new disruption: This time, against the consumers.
After Vodafone-Idea and Airtel announced a price hike, it’s the turn of Reliance Jio to announce a price hike.
Date has been fixed for the new, increased mobile tariff: December 6th, and the percentage is 40%.
But Jio hasn’t revealed the exact mobile tariff of the new plans, unlike Airtel and Vodafone-Idea, who have declared the new plans.
We had already reported that Jio will increase their tariffs.
However, there is another catch here: Jio will now offer 300% more benefits to their users, in the same combo plans.
Jio: 40% Increase In Mobile Tariff; But 300% More Benefits
Right after Vodafone-Idea and Airtel announced a massive price hike of upto 42% for all voice calls and mobile data, Jio too has confirmed that the price rise will actually happen.
As per the statement issued by Jio, they will increase mobile tariff by 40%.
However, the users will also get 300% more benefits.
A new category of plans, called ‘All In One’ plans will be launched for the same.
In a statement, Jio said, “Jio will be introducing new ‘All in One’ plans with unlimited voice and data. These plans will have a fair usage policy for calls to other mobile networks. Although, the new plans will be priced upto 40 per cent higher, staying true to its promise of being ‘customer-first’, Jio customers will get up to 300 per cent more benefits,”
No further details were shared
Jio has also stated that they will continue the dialogue with Govt. and TRAI over revised tariff, and how it can benefit the users.
AIrtel, Vodafone-Idea Will Hike Mobile Tariff
Earlier in the day, first Vodafone-Idea, and then Airtel announced increase in their respective mobile tariff.
While Vodafone-Idea will increase their mobile tariff by upto 42%, Airtel will also increase their plan tariffs by 42%.
In both the Airtel and Vodafone-Idea’s new prepaid plans, the highest increase has been registered for the annual plans, with FUP limit on data.
