Airtel’s New Prepaid Plans Announced: Pay Upto 42% More From December 3 (Complete List)
After Vodafone-Idea, Airtel too has announced their new pre-paid plans, which will be effective December 3rd.
Just like Vodafone, the new prepaid plans from Airtel will be expensive upto 42%, which is the first such price hike in the last 4 years.
Interestingly, both Vodafone-Idea and Airtel had announced the price hike simultaneously, and without any date or percentage.
And today, on a Sunday, both have announced the new rates, one after another.
Strange co-incident indeed.
Airtel’s New Prepaid Plans: Upto 42% Increase In Tariff
In a statement, Shashwat Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Airtel said, “Our new mobile plans offer tremendous value to our customers and are backed by a superior network experience on Airtel’s nationwide 4G network.”
A quick comparison revealed that the new plans will be expensive by 42%, even as Airtel claims that the new tariff increases in the “range of a mere 50 paise/day to Rs. 2.85/day”, offering even better services.
The maximum hike in the tariff has been done in the annual, unlimited plan.
Earlier, this plan was priced at Rs 1699, which is now priced at Rs 2398. Users can get 1.5GB data per day, with this plan.
At the same, Rs 998 annual plan with 365 days validity with 12 GB of data will now cost Rs 1498, with 24GB data and 365 days of validity.
Airtel Launches New Plans As Well
Just like Vodafone-Idea, Airtel too has introduced new combo plans, with new validity.
Rs 19 plan, for instance, will give validity of 2 days, and 150MB of data.
The advantage with Airtel, compared to Vodafone-Idea is their combo offer of Airtel XStream and Wynk Music, which is now offered for all plans more than Rs 169 (combo, Unlimited calls and fixed per day data)
