Vodafone-Idea’s New Prepaid Plans Effective December 3: Upto 42% Increase In Voice, Data Rates! (Complete List)

As per the promise, Vodafone-Idea has announced new tariff plans for voice and data usage. Earlier, we had reported that Vodafone-Idea will increase their tariff starting December.

But now, confirmation has been received: The new mobile tariff from Vodafone-Idea will be applicable effective December 3rd, night 0000 hours.

In a statement, Vodafone-Idea said, “Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), India’s leading telecom service provider, today announced new tariffs/plans for its prepaid products and services. New plans will be available across India starting 00:00 hours of 3 December 2019,”

Now, Vodafone-Idea users will have to pay upto 42% extra for both mobile voice calls, and mobile data.

Please note, that the new rates are applicable for prepaid plans as of now.

Airtel too has announced their new prepaid plans, which will be effective December 3rd.

Vodafone-Idea New Tariff: Upto 42% Hike

The price hike has been done across all the plans, both short-term and long pre-paid plans.

The maximum hike has been witnessed for the annual prepaid plan: Earlier, the annual ‘unlimited’ prepaid plan costed Rs 1699, which has been now increased to Rs 2399, for 365 days.

This is an increase of 41.2%.

Meanwhile, the starting combo plan with 1.5 GB daily data for 84 days will now cost Rs 599, which earlier was priced at Rs 458. 

This is an increase of 31%.

The minimum combo plan, which offered 1.5GB data for 28 days, will now cost Rs 249, which was earlier priced at Rs 199.

This is an increase of 25%.

Vodafone-Idea Announces New Plans As Well

In order to tap new users, Vodafone-Idea has announced new plans, with interesting combination of validity.

These are unlimited plans with daily FUP of data for 2 days, 28 days, 84 days, 365 days validity

For Rs 19, Vodafone-Idea users can now opt for 150MB data, 100 SMS and ‘unlimited on-net’ voice calls with 2 days validity.

These new plans are expensive as well, upto 42%, if calculated individually.
